Reading Time – 2 Months

(It took me a while because I didn’t read every day.)

If you know me, you probably already know that yoga came into my life in a pretty funny way. One day, completely on a whim, I accepted an invitation from one of my closest friends to join her for a yoga class at the park.

What I don’t think I’ve ever shared is that yoga didn’t just help me find balance in my body. It also helped me find balance in my mind.

The truth is, no one really prepares us for adulthood. Before you know it, you have a husband, kids, work, a house, dogs… and what feels like a thousand different things to think about, worry about, take care of, and occasionally panic over. πŸ˜„

During one of our monthly coffee dates, where my girlfriends and I get together to catch up, vent a little, and jokingly complain about our husbands (just kidding! πŸ˜‚), one of my friends, who also practices yoga, mentioned that she’d been reading a few pages from an eBook every morning.

She told me it was helping her stay calmer and more focused throughout the day.

Of course, I was curious. After all, who wouldn’t want a little extra peace of mind when you’re raising three kids and taking care of two dogs?

She recommended an eBook called Yoga for Stress Relief and suggested reading one chapter each day.

I’ll be honest, it took me a little while to figure out the best way to use it. At first, I wasn’t sure whether I should read first, practice first, or do both together. It took me some time to find my rhythm.

Eventually, I realized what worked best for me was reading an entire chapter first and then putting everything into practice. The breathing exercises, the focus techniques, the poses… everything just started making a lot more sense.

When I bought it, it was only available as an eBook. Personally, I think it would have been even better if it had included an audiobook. Having someone guide you through the breathing exercises with a calming voice would have been a wonderful addition.

That said, you can easily find great guided breathing sessions on YouTube if you want that extra support.

Overall, I think it’s absolutely worth reading, especially if you’re looking for a simple way to step away from the stress of everyday life and reconnect with yourself.

As always, I’ll leave the link below in case you’d like to learn more about the book. They often have some really nice promotions and bonus gifts available.

Happy reading, and here’s to finding a little more inner peace. πŸ’›
